My name is Daria and I’m a Professional Counsellor (RPC-C) located in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
Counselling and human psychology have been an interest of mine since early adulthood. I absolutely love people and each and every person fascinates me. Our stories are unique and complex and there aren’t two stories that are the same.
I’ve always been drawn to people and have wanted to take the time to hear their story. Empathy and compassion seem to be integrated deep within me, balanced with a positive outlook on life and the ability to see beauty and strength in each individual. All of that has led me to the counselling profession where I found my true self and my purpose.
I take an eclectic approach to my counselling, meaning I use a lot of various modalities depending on the individual client, and I am also a generalist who works with many different issues.
I am a trauma-informed counsellor, and am familiar with and utilize many approaches in my counselling sessions. Here is a list of some yet not all:
Narrative Therapy
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
Elements of DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy)
Mindfulness
Strength-Based Counselling
Positive Psychology
Solution-Focused Therapy
Somatic Therapy
Person-Centered Care
Holistic Approach (Body/Mind/Spirit)
